Virtual Consultation
During this 60 minute consultation, I will introduce you to growing food at home - in the ground, in a container, outside or inside. We will discuss base concepts and create a plan that will work for you to reach your goals.
On-Site Training
Let's start your garden together! Over the phone, we will discuss your goals and I will help to create a plan that will enable you to reach them. You will be given a list of materials to prepare for our in-person 90-minute session.
To ensure we make the most of my visit, you will be provided with a materials list prior to scheduling my arrival. During my visit, I will help you to prepare your site and begin building your garden. You will learn as we go, & by the end you will feel empowered to continue the creation of your own oasis.
*At this time, this service is only available to those within an hour of Omaha, Nebraska.
Food Forest Planning & Design
A food forest is basically a garden that mimics the layers and harmonious relationship between plants of a real forest. The goal of a food forest is to create a system that will produce a high yield with much less work than a conventional garden after established. The benefit of food forest goes beyond just the food provided - they also help to enrich the soil & support pollinators. I truly believe that food forests are the way forward for ethical food production.
I can help you plan and implement your very own food forest. After an initial phone consultation, I will assess the site, create a plan that accounts for the factors presented by your unique location, help you execute the plan, and provide a guide for maintenance.
The cost of this service is dependent upon the number of sessions & labor.
